Book Vs Movies: fight til the death

Which are better...Books or Movies....DUHHHHHHHHHHHHH...Books

oh yeah u heard me!...ok ok i was joking, its hard to pick up sarcasism on the computers

MOVIES are way better...the lights and sounds are all about the excitment

you cant get all the lights and excitement out of a book, its just not the same. And you cant eat popcorn and read a book, the pages will stick to your fingers. BUT that depends on what book your reading (wink wink)!
EXAMPLE 1: the latest Harry Potter Movie: Order of the Pheonix. The book was a great read, but movies have gotten so much better and the special effects has improved amaingly. So whatever you imagine, the movies will 9 itme out of 10 better then books and ur imagination.....
EXAMPLE 2: the Da Vinci Code! THAT WAS A....moderatly good book lol...but the movie was way better. The book didnt let u feel the excitement that the movie does. The trills, the adventure...the EXCITEMENT!
There is no comparasion!
EXAMPLE 3: Lemony Snicket Movie. This movie wasnt too bad, it was seen by a lot of younger kids at the time. And then slowly older people watched it. The book was read by many kids. And yes i admit, back in the day I read it aswell and it was anthing great i didnt think.
SO...
In conclusion my fellow movie lovers and book reader....MOVIES ROCK!

(as said by me, and like the rest of us, and probably all teens over the world and maybe a few adults)....peace (church) =D

FINDING THE BOOK!

We have been told to think about how we go about finding a book. WOW, that really is a tuffy lol. there are many method which i don't use, such as using the computers, the catalogue, reviews in the newspaper. The main way I find a book i wouldn't mind reading is "BROWSING THE SHELVES". I have been told to use different methods of finding books, but my motto is "if you know what you want then borrow it, if you don't know, you always find something better" well it would be my motto if i started having one!

So far this strategy is working for me. I have been able to find a good book everytime, and I enjoy most of the ones I find! I usually judge whether it was successful or not by whether I liked the book or not.

I chose the book im reading now because for 1. I enjoyed it last time. 2. I want to remember things for the new book thats new in the series when it comes out and 3. i could be bothered to keep looking!
Am i enjoying it? the real question is, DID i enjoy it?! i have already finished the book, im now looking for another book!
I would absolutly recommed it to other people, but people who have not read the other books in the series, might not understand the whole plot.

THE NEXT STORY!

The name of the next book i read was called "HARRY POTTER: AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE".

The main character of the story is Harry Potter. His age in this particular novel in the series is 16. A clear description of Harry's appearance is that he is average height and that he is of weak build, he does not look very strong. He has brown/hazel shortish hair, round full-rimed glasses. He is of Caucasian appearance and has a lighting bolt scar on his forehead above his right eye. His life within the story is that he is suppose to be the "hero". Ron is one of Harry's best friends. He is a little taller then most other people in his year. Ron is also 16 in this novel. He is of average build. He has red/orange long hair, and is of Caucasian appearance. He can be a bit of a idiot and real stubborn when he wants to. Hermione is the smart one of the Harry and Ron. She is also 16 just like the other two. Hermione last long ginger type hair. She is basically the same height as Harry and a little shorter he Ron. She is also of Caucasian appearance and it is easy to notice when she goes red. She can be as stubborn as Ron sometimes but usually she is a worrying and caring friend.

The three are more of outsiders in these stories. Many people are friends with the three but, they usually hang around there own little group that consists of Ginny (Ron's sister), Luna (one of Ginny's friends) Nevil Longbottom and others. There many purpose in these stories are to play the hero's and basically save the day. They face issues of jealously between each other, crazy teachers and many other issues teens like me and maybe you have to deal with. Also fear-in facing the murder Wizard "Lord Voldmort".

I believe while i was reading this book that this book was being narrated by someone else.

I believe that the author, J.K Rowlings created these completely different character to be friends because: 1. They each bring different things to the friendship, which help in different ways. 2. They are basically like any other group of friends (different) and 3. Its a good read.

I think that if the main character "Harry" was of the opposite gender, i really don't anything will change. Besides all the "him"'s will change to "her"'s and things of that nature.
